Meet Kailey Moody, founder of Compassion Cuts

Hi, I’m Kailey. I’ve been a licensed stylist for 15 years, but my real passion started long before that.

My dad, Lefty, was 48 when I was born. Growing up with an older father taught me early how important it is to slow down, be patient, and treat people with dignity. That lesson stuck with me. Over the years I’ve worked in kids’ salons, regular salons, and spent a lot of time volunteering in assisted living homes. I’ve also worked with blind children and many families dealing with physical and mental disabilities. Those experiences changed me.

My husband Scott and I have been married for almost 10 years (we hit 10 in September 2026). We have two little boys — Kaenan (born 2020) and Kaeos (born 2024). We also have Scott’s mom, Karen, living with us. She’s disabled and I help care for her every day. Taking care of family and helping people who need a little extra patience and kindness just feels natural to me.

That’s why I started Compassion Cuts. I wanted to bring professional, gentle haircare directly to people who can’t easily leave their home or facility — whether they’re elderly, ill, disabled, or just going through a hard season. I’m especially good with kids, seniors, and anyone who feels anxious or overwhelmed during a haircut. My goal is simple: make you feel comfortable, respected, and cared for right where you are.

When I’m not cutting hair, you’ll usually find me with my family, at church, or chasing my two wild boys around the house. Faith is a big part of who I am, and it shows up in the way I treat every single client — with kindness, patience, and respect.

If you or a loved one needs haircare at home, I’d be honored to help.
