Meet Kailey Moody, founder of Compassion Cuts
Kailey Moody founded Compassion Cuts to bring gentle, professional haircare to people who cannot easily leave home or a care setting. With 15 years as a licensed stylist and experience serving seniors, children, anxious clients, and people with disabilities, Kailey built Compassion Cuts around patience, dignity, and respect. Her work has been shaped by years of family caregiving and hands-on experience helping clients in homes and assisted living settings. Kailey’s goal is simple: make every haircut feel calm, comfortable, and personal while removing the stress of travel. She believes everyone deserves to feel clean, confident, and cared for right where they are.

Compassion Cuts serves clients in health care facilities, hospitals, residential care institutions, nursing homes, and private residences when the client requires home care because of illness, infirmity, or disability. We often serve seniors, disabled clients, and people recovering from illness who need haircare brought directly to them.

Yes. A family member, caregiver, guardian, or facility staff member may book on behalf of the client. We just ask that the person booking has permission to do so, provides accurate contact and service-location information, and is available to share any important details about the client’s needs. For children, a parent or legal guardian must book the appointment and remain present for the entire visit.

Please have the service address, parking or gate instructions, and the client’s full name ready when booking. Before the appointment, make sure there is a clean, well-lit area with enough room to work and a sturdy chair for the client. If a family member, caregiver, or staff member will be helping, please have them available at the start of the visit. For appointments that include shampoo, access to a sink will also be needed. If there are any mobility, sensory, or communication needs we should know about, please share those in advance so we can make the visit as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Yes! We come directly to your home, apartment, or care facility. An adult must be present the entire time for safety and comfort. We bring all our tools and handle cleanup so you don’t have to.

We currently serve within 10 miles of our location in Waddell, AZ. If you’re farther away, we charge a $1 per mile round-trip travel fee (calculated using Google Maps). Just let us know your address when you book and we’ll confirm the fee before your appointment.

We offer three main haircut packages (Gentle Care Cut, Comfort Refresh, and Complete Comfort) plus a Gentle Kids Cut. We also have add-ons like shampoo, nail trim, nose/ear/facial hair trim, and extra time. We do not offer color, chemical treatments, beard trims (except as a simple add-on for older teens), or complex styling.

We’re very experienced with this. Many of our clients are bedbound or have mobility challenges. Please let us know in the intake form so we can prepare (for example, we may need to do the service in bed). We always work at the client’s pace and comfort level.

You can cancel or reschedule more than 72 hours before your appointment for a full refund of your deposit. Within 72 hours, the deposit is forfeited. No-shows or cancellations after we’ve started traveling will be charged the full amount. We understand life happens — just give us as much notice as possible.

Yes. Clients or the person booking on their behalf may be asked to review and agree to required service terms before the appointment is confirmed.
